Eugenio Peral

Founder Partner and Director

Mr. Peral has over 25 years of experience providing senior advice on international development, finance, private sector development and public private partnerships strategies.

He is a recognized nonprofit leader, university lecturer and specialist in fields like financial inclusion sustainable tourism, Economics, etc and with experience in more than 40 countries in Latinamerica, Europe and Africa.

Prior to founding SDI, LLC. in the US, Mr. Peral developed his professional career as executive director of CODESPA AMERICA, US executive representative for international nonprofit organizations as Fundacion CODESPA (honorary presided by the King of Spain) and  others as FFP. He has been senior finance specialist at the World Bank, and several managing positions in Bankia Group (biggest banking group in Spain).

Mr. Peral, recently changed his residence to Spain in order to advise the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation on multilateral cooperation and aid effectiveness. He has been the head of the Governance Unit in AECOM Europe for International Development and later director of Strategic Projects for DT GLOBAL and recently founded SDI Europe based in Madrid.

Mr. Peral is PhD (C) in Finance, holds a Master in Advanced Studies in International Economy, and has completed executive certificates in nonprofit leadership in Harvard and Georgetown.

Alfonso Rodríguez Maroto

Mr. Rodriguez accumulates more than 30 years working in international development, working  in New York for the United Nations and in Spain for the Spanish Cooperation Agency (AECID), he is the advisor for several NGOs in Spain and US, and currently the CEO of FUNDABEN.

He has done consulting services for Llorente y Cuenca, Unicef Spanish Committee, for SECOT, Colombia Embassy in Spain, the Simón Patiño Foundation (Switzerland and Bolivia), among others private and public organizations as well as nonprofit sector institutions. He had managing postions in organizations as CODESPA, CIDEAL, AMREF Salus Africa, SECOT, UNICEF Spain, and currently FUNDABEN.

Mr. Rodriguez is a lawyer with Masters in Legal Practice, and Executive MBA by Instituto de Empresa as well as courses and executive programs in Foreign Trade, Strategic management and empowerment by the IESE business school or Executive Program for Social Impact Strategy (by the University of Pennsylvania)

Eduardo Ramos Suárez

Program Manager

Sociologist with a Master’s Degree in Governance and Development from the Institute of Development Studies  at  Sussex University and a PhD in Law from the Carlos III University of Madrid. Mr. Ramos has worked as a senior professional at the United Nations Development Program in Colombia in participation and dialogue processes for the promotion of sustainable development and the prevention of social and environmental conflicts in the energy sector. Consultant for different organizations and companies, such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLAC), the International Finance Corporation or Repsol.

Mr. Ramos, is currently a lecturer in strategic management at ESIC and in public international law and in  international organizations at the Carlos III University of Madrid. He has been an advisor in the peace process in Colombia in the talks between the ELN and the Colombian Government on the mining and energy sector and an international observer in the elections in Ukraine , Armenia and Ecuador.

Javier Sota Ramos

Mr. Sota has more than 30 years of experience in the field of International Cooperation and working with International Organizations. He has been Manager of Multilateral Financing of the consulting company Soluziona (Grupo Unión Fenosa), Head of the Sectorial Cooperation Department of AECID and Coordinator of the Technical Cooperation Fund of Spanish Cooperation at ECLAC-United Nations.

In addition, he has also worked in other institutions of the Spanish Public Administration (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Community of Madrid and FIIAPP Foundation), the third sector (ACTEC Belgium) and the university field (CEU-San Pablo Foundation, Villanueva University).
